Accessibility Statement

Last updated:

Bridgeway Access is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is our work, so we absolutely hold our own site and our deliverables to the same standard we help our clients achieve.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

What we have done

To support accessibility on this site, we have:

  • Used semantic HTML elements so screen readers can interpret the page structure correctly
  • Added a skip navigation link so keyboard users can jump directly to the main content
  • Made sure all interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard
  • Ensured all focus indicators are visible
  • Written text and link labels that describe their purpose clearly
  • Used color contrast ratios that meet or exceed the WCAG 2.2 AA minimum of 4.5:1 for normal text
  • Made sure the layout works at 400% zoom without horizontal scrolling (WCAG 1.4.10 Reflow)
  • Ensured text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality (WCAG 1.4.4)
  • Added ARIA labels where needed to support assistive technologies
  • Respected the prefers-reduced-motion media query for users who prefer less animation

Known limitations

We are continuously working to improve this site. Some third-party content, such as embedded scheduling tools from Cal.com, may not fully meet our accessibility standards. We have no direct control over those interfaces, but we research and select vendors who are actively working on their own accessibility.

Technical specifications

This website is built on WordPress using the Twenty Twenty-Four theme. It relies on HTML, CSS, and minimal vanilla JavaScript. It is designed to be compatible with current versions of assistive technologies including screen readers and with keyboard-only navigation.
